Pathways

Success is not a solo pursuit

In a world full of noise, the next generation of musicians strive to be heard. While performance is solo, success is a profound collaboration. Pathways humanises the journey of the classical musician, moving from the "four walls" of isolation to the spotlight of the Yamaha Music Europe Foundation competition. Featuring intimate access to the lives of applicants in Athens, Bern, and Manchester, the film explores the "balance of energy" required to sustain the arts. It captures the tension of performance, the relief of validation, and the realisation that a scholarship is more than money, it is a vital touch point in an artist's history.
